Chester (Chet) Arthur Beins was born December 30, 1903 in Aurora Nebraska. He grew up in and around Aurora, Nebraska on the family farm.

Chet attended college for 1 year before moving onto his life's work as a refrigerator (the large units used in grocery stores). On October 6, 1940 he married Virgina Ruth Willett. To them were born William Arthur and Diane Kay. In his leasure Chet enjoyed fishing. Chet passed away August 20, 1956 in Lincoln Nebraska. Virginia passed away on March 22, 1977 in Highland Park Illinois.
