Cora & Verne Jeffers who were both Nebraska natives, were married on June 4, 1939 in Aurora, Nebraska. Verne earned a degree in animal husbandry and was in the dairy business for many years. He ran his own insurance agency prior his death in 1973. Cora had a career as a school teacher for over 30 years in Nebraska. She earned both B.A. and M.A. degrees in Education.   After her retirement Cora traveled extensively. She summered in York, Nebraska and wintered in Kissimmee, Florida. In 1986, she made Florida her permanent home. She loves the weather in Florida, which allows her to ride her three wheeled bike each day.   Cora currently resides in the Good Samaritan Village Manor where she has lots of friends coming by to see her and lots of tree lined roads to bike on.




  Judy & Eldon Johansen  Judy was born in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in Nebraska. She earned her BA degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Judy married Eldon Johansen of Heartwell, Nebraska in 1961. He earned a BS and a MS degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Nebraska. After a few years of employment as a teacher and Girl Scout Field Advisor, Judy became a full-time homemaker and mother of her two daughters Stephanie and Amiee.   Judy was honored as 1997 Oregon Mother of the Year.  Judy enjoys reading and working on genealogy.
Eldon's first career was as an officer in the U.S. Army. He served his country in various engineering assignments and was stationed throught out the U.S. and abroad. Following retirement in 1983, he became City Engineer in Peoria, Arizona.Since 1992 he has been Community Development Director for the City of Wilsonville, Oregon. Eldon enjoys reading and spector sports.

While living in Germany (where Eldon was stationed with the Army) in 1979, the family visited both the Versmold farm where Peter Heinrich Beins grew up and the Grambke/Bremen family home and business (formerly shipbuilding; currently veneers) of the Bosse family, the maternal line of Rebecca Stege Beins. They obtained from the Hollmer family (current owners of the Beins farm) an inscribed 9-foot-long-beam dated Febr. 7. 1788 which had been a part of the structure of the farmhouse where Peter Heinrich Beins lived during his boyhood.




  Linda was born and raised in Nebraska. She married Ken Sims right after college graduation and moved to Florida. They both taught school.
They raised Two children Tory and Jill. They loved to travel as a family during summer months. After 26 years of marriage, Ken developed cancer and passed away. Linda continued to teach and travel.
Linda married Gerry Kreimeyer in 1997.
Gerry Kreimeyer was born and raised in Utica, New York. He had lots of work experiences such as delivering furniture, a furniture touch up business, managing a pharmacy, building houses (7), and presently, as a pharmaceutical representative. He raised a family in New York before transferring to Florida where the weather allows for biking, canoeing and jetskiing more of the year. Gerry loves electronics, and has the latest technology on his list of toys.
Linda and Gerry both enjoy gardening, entertaining, traveling and grandkids!




  Tory Sims was born in Winterpark, Florida. He was raised in Kissimmee, FL and traveled during must summers with his parents as a child. Tory went to college at Valencia Community College in Orlando and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach Florida. He recieved Two Associate degrees. In 1991 he married Catherine Sardoni and they had three children together Samantha age 11, Kenny age 7 and Macie age 4.
Tory lives in St. Cloud Florida where he works as a Aircraft technician for Continental Airlines. In 2001 Tory and Catherine were divorced.

Samantha has been in Girl Scouts for the past 4 yrs and really enjoys the adventures in the outdoors (Just like her Grandma Linda). She will be going into 6th grade the start of the 2000/2001 school year. Samantha likes swimming and bikeing during the summer time at her Grandpa Pat's(Katies father).

Kenny has been in sports for the past two years. The first were in Baseball, and last year in soccer. He seems to enjoy soccer a little more. Kennny will be in first grade at the start of the 2000/2001 school year. Kenny's favorite pastime is playing with "Hotwheels", he loves to line them up and scoot them all over the house and yard. He also love swimming and riding his bike.
Macie is not in any formal activities yet. She will probably go into gymnastics over the summer and dance in the fall. She loves drawing pictures for her Mom and Dad. She started early at school and the 2000/2001 school year will be her second year in all day Pre-school at the local elementary school. She loves riding the school bus to and from school, and can't get enough time on the monkey bars.

  Stephanie Johansen was born in Ft. Belvoir, VA. She grew up in many locations across the country including over seas in Germany. Stephanie got her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Nebraska Wesleyan University and her Master's from the University of Washington. Following graduation she worked for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Seattle, and then moved to Richland, Washington to work for Dames & Moore, an environmental consulting firm. While with D&M, Stephanie worked primarily on the Hanford site but also spent time working on a project near Ipoh, Malaysia. Stephanie has worked for Washington Group International, Inc. (formely Raytheon/Morrison & Knudsen ) at a chemical weapons incinerator at the Umatilla Chemical Depot in northeastern Oregon since 1997. As a Environmental Chemist she works in the Environmental Department preparing documents related to environmental permits, and also manages the environmental monitoring program for the incinerator. She travels occasionally for her job and recently has been to New Orleans and Johnston Island (approximately 800 miles southwest of Hawaii). Stephanie currently lives in the Hermiston, Oregon with her black cats Zoe and Sable and in her free time enjoys reading, quilting, going to quilt shows, camping, and going to the movies.




  Jill Sims attended Lander University on a basketball scholarship, also recieved several academic grants while there. She Graduated in 1991 with a BS in Physical Education K-12. She the moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where she accepted a full time physical education teaching position in the Pre-school-6th, then 9-12th grades PE/Health at the high school. She became the head girls basketball coach/ JV girls soccer coach. Getting bored with the teaching profession she took an EMT course to prepare to become a ski patroler at Copper Mountain, she ended up becoming a firefighter instead. In 1999 she made a fantastic career change and now isa firefighter for the City of Colorado Springs. " I earned the top scores on two certification tests (a 98% and 99%!), and was ranked 4th out of 13 in my class (94.1%, the top rank got a 94.6%). I LOVE my new job. I've been a homeowner for 2 years. The remodeling and landscaping have taken a lot of time/money but it looks fantastic now. Last May I got my 2 dogs, Zack and Baxter. They are now a year old and really fun to take on hikes. They're a mix of Beagle, Australian Shepard, and Blue Heeler. Toby the cat is 9yrs. old and is used to "the boys" now. Now that all my testing is complete for my job I am able to play on my days off...hike, bike, camp, go to the lake, SixFlags amusement park... I really have a pretty good time here in beautiful Colorado. Come visit!"

  Amiee Johhansen Alnet & Stephane Alnet were married in 1998 in Boston, MA,. Aimee was born in Vancouver, Washington and moved with her family several times before graduating from high school in Arizona. While a student at Nebraska Wesleyan University, she spent one year at the Universite de Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens, France. She earned her BA and BS at NWU and susequently became certified to teach English as a Second Language to adults. Aimee then taught English at the satellite campus of Universite de Picardie Jules Verne in Beauvais, France. While teaching there, she met Stephane Alnet, a computer scientist who earned his Bachelor's degree at the same university and Master's degree at Universite Paris-Sud, Orsay, France. In 1999 Aimee earned her MA in French Language and Literature at Boston University. Aimee is currently in a graduate program in Linguistics at BU. During the summer 2000, Aimee and Stephane spent a month on the island of Mayotte, a French territorial collectivity in the Indian Ocean, where Aimee studied the syntax of the Shimaore language. Stephane is employed by CSC in Waltham, Massachusetts.
